It seems that I just have to say the word Sherry and everyone knows what’s it’s all about, or is that true…
When I was growing up I had my vision about Sherry and that vision was very simple ”it’s only old people playing cards” who is drinking Sherry in the afternoon, it’s dry and I don’t like it. And of course I didn’t liked it, I was nine!
Well, thank god, taste buds changes over the years, aswell as knowledge and today I know that there are a lot of differences and there is a Sherry for all circumstances and occasions.
What’s the difference between a Manzanilla and a Oloroso and what’s the town Sanlucar all about, and how does a Solera work and what is it, well there is a lot of Q:s but not so many A:s.
Stay tuned, because in the following days I will be in Jerez de la Frontera and i will send a few notes daily from Jerez and I am sure it’s gonna be both exiting aswell as interesting. And did you know… the Flamenco was born in Jerez de la Frontera and not in Argentina as many of us still believe or dont you believe me?
Stay tuned and you will find out more/cheers!
